This privacy policy applies to the Android application "Sound Level Meter" (the "Application") provided by Bandiago (the "Developer"). For what the Application's measurements can and cannot be relied on for, see the Terms of Service, which form part of your agreement with the Developer.
Sound Level Meter measures sound with your phone's microphone and keeps the results in a log on your phone. The Application does not require an account, and the Developer does not collect, store or receive your measurements. The only information that leaves your device is what Google's advertising system processes in order to show advertisements, as described in section 4.
The measurements you take, the notes you add to them, the time and duration of each entry and — if you turn that option on — the approximate location you attach to them are stored only in the Application's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to the Developer or to any third-party server.
Sound is measured on your device, and the audio itself is never kept. Each block of audio is processed in memory to produce a level reading and is then discarded. The Application does not store a recording of your surroundings, and no audio is ever transmitted.
Exported files — a CSV of the log, a PDF report and a shareable summary image — are created on your device. They leave it only if you choose to share them, and then only to the app you select in the Android share sheet.

The Application does not request access to your files, photos, contacts, calendar or any other personal data.
Sound Level Meter uses Google, a third party vendor, to serve advertisements in the Application, using the AdMob system (see www.google.com/admob).
AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and other information such as device characteristics and approximate location (for example IP address) to serve advertisements and measure their performance. It may also collect information about how the Application is used (for example app launches and taps) and diagnostic information (for example app launch time and energy usage), and it uses this information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. None of this information identifies you personally to the Developer. On your device you can also reset or delete your advertising identifier through the Android settings (Privacy > Ads) and opt out of ad personalisation.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the Application asks for your consent before any advertisement is requested, and it shows no advertisements until you have answered. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Application's menu (Consent). Withdrawing consent stops advertisements; every measurement feature of the Application continues to work either way.
Outside those regions, you can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalisation in your Android settings, as described in section 4.
Sound Level Meter does not collect personally identifiable information about you. In other words, the Developer does not collect information such as your name, address, phone number or email address, and does not require you to create an account.
Everything the Application saves is on your device and stays there until you remove it. You can delete individual entries or clear the whole log from within the Application, and uninstalling the Application removes all of its data. Because the Developer holds no copy of your measurements, there is nothing to request from the Developer. Data processed by Google's advertising system is retained by Google under its own privacy policy, and you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your Android settings.
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13 and the Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The Developer may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be published on this page. The current version of this policy always applies.
